U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-8) today released the following statement following N.J. Governor Christie’ s request for a declaration of a flood disaster following this month’s storms.

“I appreciate Governor Christie’s swift action in asking federal authorities for the declaration of a disaster,” said U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, who toured flooded areas in the Eighth Congressional District as residents were evacuated from their homes. “As the rains continue to exacerbate the flood-ravaged areas throughout New Jersey, I promise quick responsiveness from the state’s Congressional delegation to support to the governor’s action.”
