Washington, DC,
April 29, 2011
U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-8) today released the following statement in reaction to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s rejection of New Jersey’s request to forgive $271 million in federal grants for the cancelled Access to the Region’s Core (ARC) tunnel project. “I’m disappointed by the USDOT’s decision, but not completely surprised,” said Pascrell, a member of the House Budget Committee. “Today, I have personally encouraged USDOT officials to be mindful of the state’s fiscal situation in crafting a fair repayment structure.” ### |
