U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-08), an original member of the House Committee on Homeland Security, released the following statement in response to Michelle Bachman's accusations against Huma Abedin:

"Michelle Bachmann's outrageous accusations against Huma Abedin are really beyond the pale. Rep. Bachmann should be ashamed of travelling in these reckless and unsubstantiated conspiracy theories about a dedicated public servant. Ms. Abedin has served our country with distinction and deserves our thanks and admiration. In light of these accusations, which have been rightfully condemned by Senator McCain and Speaker Boehner himself, the Speaker should seriously consider whether or not Rep. Bachmann and others who signed this letter are fit to continue their role overseeing our country's intelligence community."
