U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-08), an original member of the House Committee on Homeland Security, released the following statement in response to today's bombing in Bulgaria:

“I am shocked and appalled at today’s heinous terrorist attack in Bulgaria that claimed the lives of seven Israelis.  I call on the Bulgarian government to investigate this bombing quickly and thoroughly, and to take additional security measures to protect civilians from future attacks.  The United States and the rest of the international community must work with the Bulgarian authorities to bring justice to these victims and hold whoever is responsible to account.”
