U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-08) today made the following statement regarding completion of the Hillery Street Bridge improvement project:

“Completion of the Hillery Street Bridge improvement project is a clear example of how federal infrastructure investment can generate work that improves neighborhoods, promotes commerce and ultimately stimulates the economy.  I applaud the completion of this project and look forward to watching the new bridge benefit pedestrians, commuters, and business in West Paterson and Totowa.  With the recent enactment of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, Passaic County stands to gain from a wealth similar infrastructure improvements.” 

Pascrell, a former member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure helped secure $9.5 million of the $11 million Hillery Street Bridge project.
