Today, U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-09) reacted to House Ways and Means Charmain Richard Neal’s (D-MA-01) decision to issue subpoenas for the Trump Tax Returns.

"This move is necessary only because Trump, Mnuchin, and Rettig have signaled their disdain for our laws over and over again. Chairman Neal is upholding the sacred prerogative of the Article I branch against a regime openly hostile to our democratic institutions. This isn’t the fight we want but is the fight we embrace in the name of rule of law. I thank my Chairman for his persistence and have no doubt the truth will prevail.”
