U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-09), whose Ninth District includes large Turkish American and Syrian American communities, this morning mourned the massive earthquake that has hit Turkey and Syria.

“I mourn for the people of Turkey and Syria harmed by this absolutely devastating earthquake,” said Rep. Pascrell. “Thousands of lives have already been lost with the toll likely to worsen. Let me express my sadness to those who lost their lives, the wounded, and their families. I thank President Biden offering any and all assistance. We must help those impacted meet this terrible moment. Where America can limit the death and destruction we must do so quickly.”
