Congressman Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-09) today again called for a ceasefire in Gaza and the freeing of all hostages still held by Hamas terrorists. Pascrell’s renewed demand follows a call between President Biden and Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu where Biden called on the Israeli government to cease the hostilities in Gaza to stabilize and improve the humanitarian situation and protect innocent civilians.

“The devastating loss of seven aid workers from World Central Kitchen is a travesty that has shocked the world and focused attention on those suffering in Gaza,” said Congressman Pascrell. “As I have repeatedly urged, the Israeli government must work with our allies to secure an immediate ceasefire that brings freedom to all the remaining hostages held by Hamas terrorists and allows increased humanitarian assistance to aid a civilian population in need. Furthermore, our President is right to demand the Israeli government detail steps to protect innocent civilians and provide safety for aid workers. We must achieve an end to violence and begin the road to lasting peace.”
