Pascrell Votes for Palestinian Humanitarian Aid Package

Congressman Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-09) today voted in favor of a long-awaited aid package including $9.2 billion of humanitarian aid for Gaza.

“The war in Gaza is devastating and breaks my heart every day it continues,” said Congressman Pascrell. “It should not have taken this long to pass new humanitarian aid to Gaza. I voted against the last two aid packages put before Congress because they did nothing for Palestinians in need. The flow of aid must be immediate and continuous and not be impeded. At the same time, I voted in favor of fresh aid to Israel to protect itself and Israelis from terrorism, especially in light of Iran’s latest terror attack. As President Biden reminded us, peace remains the most important goal. As we have been demanding, there must be a ceasefire and full release of remaining hostages now. A ceasefire and freed hostages is the only path to peace and two permanent states living in security.”
