Pascrell Flays Republicans’ Farcical Freedom for Fridges Focus

The kings of comedy couldn’t come up with greater stupidity than Republicans

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-09) today mocked a vote on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives for Republicans’ Refrigerator Freedom Act.

“Abbott and Costello. Rodney Dangerfield. Joan Rivers. Richard Pryor. George Carlin. Chris Rock. All of them are comedy amateurs when compared to the farce of Republican governance on display again today,” said Congressman Pascrell. “A pie in the face from Moe, Larry, and Curly is not more absurd and more stupid than winning ‘freedom’ for fridges. When Democrats twice offered legislation to preserve Roe v. Wade and protect women’s freedom, every single Republican in Congress voted no. But today when we voted on so-called freedom for fridges, 99 percent of Republicans voted yes. None of this is funny. And neither is the Republican Party’s complete contempt for this country.”
