“I am deeply saddened by the passing of the fearless leader of the United Steelworkers, Tom Conway. Tom was not only a dedicated labor leader but also a tireless advocate for the rights and well-being of steelworkers and laborers across this great nation. His legacy of fighting for fair wages, safe working conditions, strong industrial policy, and job security will be remembered for generations to come,” said Congressman Pascrell. “Tom was a native son of East Rutherford, and our entire North Jersey community mourns this titanic loss. My prayers are with his family, friends, and the entire USW community during this difficult time. Tom Conway's memory will forever be etched in the annals of labor history and his spirit will continue to guide us in the fight for workers' rights.”
