Rep. Pascrell Statement Regarding Treasury Currency Report

U.S. Representative Bill Pascrell, Jr. (NJ-09), Ranking Member of the Ways and Means Trade Subcommittee, issued the following statement on the release of a Department of Treasury report on developments in international economic and exchange rate policies.

"With all of the bluster we heard on the campaign trail, today’s report from the Department of Treasury highlights the administration’s lack of meaningful action on currency," said Rep. Pascrell. "Earlier this year I introduced a trade enforcement bill that would treat currency manipulation as an unfair trade policy that can be met with countervailing duties and I call on the Trump Administration to support that policy. The administration must also negotiate clear and enforceable currency rules in our trade agreements, especially as they seek to address the shortcomings of the NAFTA and KORUS agreements."
